The Cockle Bay Wharf website was an award-winning project created to showcase Sydney’s iconic waterfront dining and entertainment destination. Built in 2016 and still live today, the website was developed using Drupal 7 with the Panopoly distribution, enabling dynamic templates and layouts. The site provides comprehensive information about the various venues, events, and dining options at Cockle Bay Wharf, combining elegance and functionality in a responsive, visually engaging design.

A key aspect of this project was implementing a complex content approval workflow to meet the client’s needs for content accuracy and oversight. The approval system required that all content changes be reviewed and approved by users with specific roles before going live. This included an internal notification system that guided content editors through each step of the process, helping them submit, review, and approve content updates with ease and efficiency. This workflow ensured that content remained accurate and consistent across the website.

In addition to the approval mechanism, I also built a venue search tool that allows users to quickly locate restaurants, bars, and entertainment options based on their preferences. This tool enhanced user engagement by streamlining the search process and improving the overall user experience. The site's design was pixel-perfect and responsive, optimized for viewing on all devices to accommodate both local and international visitors.

To ensure a smooth transition and empower the client’s team, I provided comprehensive training sessions directly to the client. These sessions covered content management, the approval workflow, and other key site features, allowing their team to manage and update content independently. Extensive documentation was also provided as part of the training, offering a reference for ongoing maintenance and updates.
